I have been to one as well, but it's quite a while ago, I enjoyed it a lot. When the sky is clear I love to go outside when it gets dark. I use to spent my summer holidays (vacation for the Americans) in Hungary camping, instead of hanging out at the clubs I watched the sky all night. I was so amazed of the firmament's beauty. There I could see the milky way, also satellites...

yeah! that is really something i would like to do! stars and the universe and all has interesed me since I was 10 years old, and I'm still as facinated as then

Well, I am interested in the universe since a child too but more seriously when I heard Cosmic Genesis. I was looking what things means in the lyrics of Vintersorg. Algol is an example of that.

Sometimes, if I work at night, I use about twice as long time to get home as I need to, walking staring up into the sky.... Dreaming already before I get to my bed..... I'd like to have a star-gazer. That would have been wonderful.

one of the most relaxing things to do is lay out in your backyard, or just outside in general, flat on your back, and just star-gaze, its so relaxing, and such a release of energy, almost on a higher level Id say........

I love the Vintersorg song much much and more much :headbang:

Yepp, that's a very good thing for your occular satisfaction, and while it embraces your eyes it sneakes into your mind, and then the thoughts comes and while you stare at what more seems like a stratum of of snow your thinking sinks into a philosophical state and you start to question your own existense........and then depression sets in, right? Still you can't stop standing/sitting/laying with your eyes fixed at the "stellar dome" and you do it night after night........

...when I concentrate on the stars I feel like become one with the universe... well, we are a part of it anyway, but then - in those moments I feel it very intensive...

If a person try to speak to me in those moments, I can't hear, even if someone screams...

*sigh* i couldn't have said it better :)

one of my dearest memories is when a rain of stars fell, a couple of years ago... i've never seen a more beautiful sight.
i hope someday i get to see the Northern Lights

Im totally with you Andreas, things strike you as you stare at the huge sky, it just seems endless, its so easy to get lost in its majesty........

well most of times when I stare to the stars up above I just start questioning how great Han Solo must had felt in his heyday! Even hyperspace ruined all the beauty creating a codebar_space lookalike!

Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahoooooooooiuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!!!! That's great, a thread 'bout the stars, the night sky, the beautiful of the multiver... er... universe as we can see it from our particular location. So romantic, indeed.

ever since i was very small 6 years old or sth,i love gazing at the nightsky...i was trying to discover shapes created by the stars...i was lying gazing and travelling away...and i still do so...the problem is that i can't do so here in town...only in our countryhouse...summer...and well i'm rarely there anymore,so not much star-travelling :( but still the few times i am there the nightsky possesses me...the area there is quite dark with low houses, from the top of the house (how is this called??) you can view a great deal of stars and even look at the mountain with the light from the houses in the distance....it is such a majestic view...

*envious* :) I bet it is, I can almost picture it in my mind. Why cant you do it where you live? I do it in my backyard on the walkway, very very serene.........
