A Fizz that will not go away!

At the beginning of this clip there is a really terrible fizz that will not go away. I've tried noise gate, cutting the highs, LPing to see where it was to try and notch it out, lowering the distortion, nothing seems to work. Any ideas? Is it as bad as I'm making it, or am I just micromanaging?

the fizzing isn't that bad. just sounds like regular distortion noise to me. when you focus on it it exaggerates it a bit, but really it's not bad.

So basically if I wanted to get rid of, or minimize it, I'd have to get one of those special noise canceling plugins, like x-noise or something? No work arounds for this?
