I have noticed I am really lacking a knowledge of death metal in general. Can someone give me a list of good and innovative bands within the scene past the well-known bands of the early scene.
Origin, Pungent Stench, Hypocrisy, Malevolent Creation, Malignancy, Jungle Rot.
This post captures the epitome of deathmetal averageness tbh.

Malignancy and Hypocrisy are pretty good, tbh. The others are pretty average, though.
