A little taste of what to come (download a song?)...

Its kind of generic other than the odd time signatures. I don't know, maybe its me being sick of the swedish sound. Its recorded pretty well, and played VERY well. Songs are written well, but somewhat predictable. Sorry I had to be the one to rag on it. The start of the guitar solo reminds me of something Helloween would do, and thats a very cool thing. But one Helloween riff doesn't save the song. If this is a demo, you guys are very promising though, so I'll look for the next Skinfected release.

:)
Thx Kevin...
"Any review is a good review!"
At least I think so. :)
We are somewhat new to play this "type" of metal and I think that are shining through. We are "converting" from playing a more aggresive type of Death Metal though ... Kinda different to play! ;)
But, hopefully we´ll find our "own" way in playing this type of music! :) We´ll see what the future holds for us!:headbang:

If you could incorperate the extreme side of metal, and the creative melody, ala Cromlech's The Vulture Tones CD, that would be awesome! I don't want to tell you how to play your music, but that would be my suggestion.

actually, the opening riff reminds me of dream theater's ytse jam.

:err: that's a damn strange 7/4 time. the grouping belies triple, rather than dupal meter. i think you'd simply be better off calling it 14/8 (3+3+3+3+2) than 7/4, since the latter would be almost impossible to count.

Kevin > That´s kind of the idea with our coming songs. :)
The band (at least we string-bending guys :D ) has actually talked about how to evolve from this. We are probably not going back to try to play Cannibal Corpse-type of riffs, but a bit more aggressive and a more "darker feeling" is likely to be used in forthcoming songs. At least we think that we are on a track that "gives us" more as a band than when we tried playing as fast as we could!! ;)

Ahhh.... En svensk i gänget! :)

I´ll take it in english from here... ;)

We´re actually playing at Bankiren in the BigHit final on Friday 3rd May!!! And YES... Monuments are sure to be played there!!!
*Wohooo*
Otherwise we are keeping it a bit low on the live performing right now. We are trying to get some shows outside our home-town (Västerås) wich not seem to be easy though!
We also feel that we need some new songs to back up "Monuments" (in that type of Metal). But there are prabably going to be some show(s) in Västerås during the summer/autumn though. Can´t stay off the stage too long!!! ;)

I agree with you. I think in theory, it would be a 7/4...but playing/listening to it , the feel is more a 14/8. So slap me silly :)
