A love letter to Ann Coulter from Henry Rollins

Dr, have you read any of her books? I would not call myself a fan but, I have read two of her books over the years. One, I would say was good, the other, so-so.

you raise an interesting point.
i'd be willing to bet, the majority of Ann-slammers have never actually read an entire book she's written, in order to form a solid opinion. they're reading the blurbs on left-leaning political sites or hearing about them in the MSM. anything is capable of being taken out of context, under the right [or wrong] circumstances. it all depends on the whim or intent of whoever is cherry-picking the quotes to put out to the general public.

No, I started to read Treason. It was so shrill, historically inaccurate and dumb that I stopped half-way through. There is a reason entire websites are dedicated to her plagarism, poor research, and dubious claims.

Basically, her books are for people too stupid to read a real historical study or like their political views to be written on the level of a cereal box. Democracts are bad. Add Milk.

If there was any substance to these websites, wouldn't a lawsuit have been brought against her for plagerism?

What kind of a statement is this? It sure isn't an intelligent one. You are going to catagorize everyone who reads her books now? Let's see, Ann Coulter writes, includes a bibliography and she is allegedly, guilty of plagerism. Although, never has she been sued for it. You, post some conjecture, sans facts, and it is supposed to support some arguement against Ann Coulter? You really aren't helping your cause Mr.Franken.

I think Ann goes very overboard...however that being said...I've always thought Rollins was a joke. He (trys to) maintain his tough anti establishment front while sipping Don Perignon and sitting at his antique desk whilst typing away on his top of the line computer....it's quite humorous if you ask me.

Rollins fans...you've been duped.

:p

The media has slanted our expectations too much to the left.

Everybody's used to lesbo feminists and leftist oligarchs being the loudmouth demagogues, so when finally a right-winger comes along to trumpet the conservative view, it sounds OVERBOARD and OUT OF CONTROL.

Yer just not used to it.

Same wif Fox News. They give an opinion that's not straight out of Ted Turner's asshole, and suddenly its like they're repeating old Hitler speeches.

Yer just used to Dan Rather's perverse opinions as being normal news.

And by the way, Coulter's Treason was excellente; at least, the chapter on uncle Joe McCarthy. Which, by the way, is completely factual.

Already witnessing the progressives have their sweet revenge on his corpse nowadays, it was refreshing to read how they managed to ruin him even as he uncovered genuine stalinist agents and sympathizers and outright traitors.

But that's the sort of stuff yer not supposed ta know about.

Blah, Blah. Blah. Stop with the stupid comparisons to Stalin and Hitler already. Are you a third-grade historian or something? You obviously know nothing about either if you think they remotely apply to anyting in the US at the moment.

That said, her comments on McCarthy are partly true. Yes, he actually did hunt for communists and many people that he claimed were communists actually were guilty.

However, most people suggest that this was done as an election isssue at first.

He also increasingly became arrogant and power hungry and scandal-ridden. The best scandal, of course, was his association with the closeted-gay Ray Cohn whose lover Mccarthy helped leave the Army.

Ay! Don't fuck wif me, il Professore! I made no comparisons to der Fuehrer.

Its those girly faggits on the ultra extreme left who love the Third Reich and make an effort to bring metaphors involving the White House and the NSDAP into their daily monologues.

That said, what's your majour problem?
