this was FW to me from a family member. i have practically divorced myself from all of them, but a few persist.

this was originally FW'd to a bunch of people (not me), apparently to friends and family alike (or is that 'a like'?). a cousin of mine whom i haven't seen in 5-6 years.

announcing a move to florida, reasons cited as such:

So why are we going? The main reason is we just don't like it
here in New England and we're tired of pretending we do. We're
tired of the bullshit, we're tired of people only calling us when they
want something, we're tired of being treated like strangers or as
after thoughts. We're tired of being lied to, promised things that
never come to fruition. We're tired of things being said and done
behind our backs. Basically we hate the way New Englanders treat other
people and we don't want to raise our boys that way. I don't want
my son to have to watch another pool party going on in our neighbor's
backyard where he isn't invited over. I can't bear to have my son
say hello to another little kid in a store and be stared back at like an
alien. I don't want to go to a Starbucks and be called an asshole
because I beat somebody to a chair. We are tired of paying over $4000 a
year in property taxes to not have public water, sewerage or a full-time
fire department. We're tired of shoveling snow and bracing ourselves
against *25 windchills just to go check the mail.

I live in the fucking hospitality state, and people are still assholes. I dont think any of that will change until after the american civil war ends when russia starts nuking people.
