HELLO METALHEADS

Well it's about time I said something!

First of all I would like to say thank you to everybody who sent messages after the fire it was a bad period in our lives but you have to go on and try and make something good from out of the bad. We are now in a new house much bigger than the last one and everybody is starting to put their lives back together. The fire started at five in the morning when we were all in bed [you may believe this or not?] But somebody or something shouted wake up really loud and I just shot up bolt upright the room was full of smoke I woke my wife and we got the children out of there bedrooms by this time the flames were dropping though the ceiling so we had a very lucky escape who it was I do not no I have lost both my parents and some good friends along the way anyway that’s how it was.

On a lighter note, Nigel is back in the band after 7/8 years we have been rehearsing in the UK and it sounds great like he never left! We have to say farewell to Jorg who has left the voyage early and we did not have time say a drunken farewell but we will real soon.

See you soon

Keep the faith

Biff

I need another Saxon album soon :D

Sorry, Wyv, when I get a craving for Saxon, I still turn to Wheels of Steel, Denim and Leather or Power and the Glory. From what I've heard of their most recent stuff, they just don't write 'em like that anymore.

I disagree TSO. Of course they actual material is more oriented to power metal than to old hard rock, but as much as their classic material has a special niche in my heart, the new one is heavy and energetic and is as much pure heavy metal as can be.

I'll recomend you especially to take a deep listen at "Killing Ground" I'm absolutely sure you'll see they had not lost their magic at all, and their latest "Lionheart" was one of the best of 2004 IMO.

Well, I've heard a few random mp3s from those albums, but they were really hit and miss with me. Some I really liked, others not so much. I did get Unleash The Beast a few years back because I was wondering what Saxon sounded like these days. And again, on UtB, I found four or five songs I really liked and that many again that just didn't do it for me. I'm an "album" guy so it's a hard mark against an album if it isn't consistent all the way through. Probably it's just a case of me being "too picky". I've been accused of that fault before!

Say it again, brother! Being picky also saves on space, something very valuable to me since I tend to move alot. Can't afford to be dragging 2,000 cds (not to mention the 3 boxes of cassettes I'm already anchored with) everytime I change residences or hit the road for extended sabbaticals.

And more from Biff

Hi from the Boys….

We're on the train from Berlin to Munich, we've just been putting together the film and soundtrack for the upcoming new dvd (working title "To Hell and Back again"). Tour is going great so far, first three shows sold out. Just one thing we'd like to know, should we play the ´80 set all the way through the tour, or should we play the "Lionheart" set in Belgium, England, Scotland and Holland, what do you think?

Looks like America is gonna happen, working hard on the new visa system after 9/11, as off today tour starts in Allentown 4th of November, unfortunately we have to put back south America yet again and some dates in the USA, we're really sorry for that, but we're working hard to get replacement dates.

It's great having Nigel back in the band it sounds like he never left. We've started writing and some recording for the new album that should be out next year. We think spv are going to re-release the "Lionheart" - album and we're trying to put together some extra bonus material.

That's all for now folks, keep the faith

Biff

US dates? I wonder what the chance of them coming to Denver is. It's been 20 years or so since I last saw them so it would be about time to see them again. I'm betting it's a coastal "tour".
