i'm writing a french essay on my comp and it would be much appreciated if someone could tell me how to do the various accents with my keyboard?

Go to your keyboard control panels and set your keyboard to french configuration, then slam a bunch of keys until you see the accent keys you want. (yes a very precise tutorial)

Tell me if you can't figure it out from there I can do it myself and tell you where I clicked exactly. I have a little blue box on my taskbar I can switch to german with when I need to type umlauts, and I actually added Swedish to it so I can type "Mikael Åkerfeldt" Yes, I have no life.

i've got it working!

only trouble is, it means i've got to get used to the french keyboard. but i seem to remember being faced with the same dilemma when i was living in paris.

I don't know how messed up the french one is but the german one just has a swapped "y" and "z" and the umlauts and ß are all near the right side and replace keys like "-" "[" "]" ";" "'"

well for starters the french keyboard was swapped the a and the q, as well as the x and the w. which is indeed strange. other strange stuff is starting to reveal itself too. it's changed me

the second caracter is what you obtains if you pressed Alt Gr in the same time
