take 2. i think i sorted out the issue with toms and cymbals from my first attempt. i used Eric's mix as a benchmark as it sounds amazing!! i've done a bit of mastering to this one too.

I would speed the song up just a little bit if you retrack it, it drags a little in the beginning

...now after hearing it again I think I went too far making the kick "smack"
In case you're interested, I used 2 impulses, one from guitarhack, or bouth, I can't remember now...then some eq (hi/lowpass+a bit cleaning in the low mids...maybe some finetuning in the highs too, cant rembember exactly) and reverb.
wasnt easy to find something usefull from this preamp though...but I also like it, glad you dig it
