A song from the band I'm recording!

Guitars sound muffled and undergained, like a pickup that doesnt have enough bite. Drums just sound standard drum program - flat and undynamic, riffing is very meh, not else much to talk about really.

The guitars could do with a lot more gain, turn it up to 11 man! And give the drums a bit of reverb maybe to make they sound bigger

Thanks guys for your comments!I know that guitars are undergained so I hope little info will help you to understand.First of all they are all teenagers and this is their first song with better production, second we used fender strat for guitars.I own LTD MH-400 with 81/85 active EMGs but the guitarist didn't wanted to change his guitar so I think I pulled out max from their equipment and performance. Is there any chance to make those guitars not to sound undergained? Thanks again for comments!

This would be a strange thing, but mess around with putting them through an ampsim with a little gain, it may add the little gain they lack. And see if it's better or worse.

Didn't listen to the track, don't have the time.

What the fuck is wrong with a fender strat?

A fender strat with single coils isn't a real go-to metal guitar, and for
me, single coils suck for hi-gain in 99% so I think that is wrong ;)

No offense to Strat users but in 99.9% Strat(with stock pups)isn't best choice for metal music but what can I do the band wanted to use that guitar!Thank you guys for your comments and I like to add that song is not mastered, its only raised with limiter!

As being an avid Fender user I stick by my (mexican, señor!) Strat.
Though I know what you mean, meh.
