A very metal album by a very un-metal group, probably shunned by the metal community.

I love it, intense riffs and emotion throughout, still as enjoyable as it was 13 years ago. Also has one of my favorite musical moments ever, that quick moment of complete silence during the first verse of Wish. *goosebumps*

Thoughts?

I personally love it, but my core base of musical taste lies between metal and EBM/Synthpop.

I know alot of people who love Nine Inch Nails, the band manages to transend genres and get under peoples skin. The harsh reality in the lyrics humbles you while the strong, hard music gets you high. Creating a mood that only listening to that song can re-create.

Sorry guys, but that Broken EP is fucking excellent. I haven;t listened to it in about 3 years though, since it was stolen out of my car along with another 50 or so cd's. fuckers.

How many bashing Broken have even heard it? Oh that's right, NONE.

The Fragile was unfairly shat upon, it is not his best but it is a damn fine album. This or The Downward Spiral would be my favorite, but I love pretty much everything he's done.

I've heard Broken. It is the best NIN I've heard (which the debut and Broken), but that's like saying one pile of dog crap is better than another one.

I've heard all NIN albums. If you play me a song I can't say which album it's from but I am vertain that the orange one sucks because they all do.

Here's another fine example (though they are probably considered more "metal" than Nine Inch Nails):

Faith No More - Angel Dust
Yeah, I think a lot of metal dudes give the nod to that one though. From what I've seen anyhow. Tis insanely brilliant, that one. :Spin:

Why should I bother hearing something that sucks?

As far as I know, yes. If there's been a release the last 3-4 years I guess I've "missed" that one. My brother used to be a fan but I think he only listens to Johnny Cash these days and has some of that techno crap he used to like on his computerto be kool
