about retro gaming...

I'm all about Retro-Gaming. But it's a fact that these games are enjoyable for 5 minutes or less. can't see what's the problem about scumm though. you have to read. no voice acting (at least most of the older scumm games). can be a pain in the ass sometimes.

not that worse back then, but today I'm really annoyed by the amount of text, there is for background stories ( I know I shouldn't )
like in wolverine or bionic commando

has anybody played the new metal slug for ds? is it good?

those games were great don't get me wrong and I LOVE reading, but those games don't "satisfy" me anymore. they were great back than

My all time favorite games (ones that I play over and over still today) are all retro games, FarCry is the only newer game that I would think of playing again:
- Super Mario Kart (SNES Version)
- Outrun (Arcade version -> MAME)
- Fort Apocalypse (C64)
- Sonic 1 (Genesis Version)
- Up'n'Down (Arcade Version -> MAME)

Today, I play most of them on my PSP (all except Outrun which does not run fast enough).

get an old xbox with a modchip, hardrive, 4 controllers and all the emulators that are worth playing. snes, nes, mame, scumm, genesis, intellivision, ps1, n64, neo geo, gba, gb, dosbox, atari and others. it's capable to run a lot of those emulators perfectly. call me a pirate but this stuff is so old no company should make too much money of those systems anymore (and a lot of roms are legal now). it's just awesome to boot up your xbox and have to choose between 4000 retro-games with 3 friends. bomberman and micro machines ftw.
