it states that it is a DI box, but it says thats when its bypassed....

can i use it as a DI box with the overdrive on at a venue, is it safe to send that overdriven signal to a desk?

i just baught one 5 mins ago... should be fun

Been doing just that for years. Sansamps sound good through an amp, but they sound great through the PA.

What? Your post makes no sense to me.


But, yes you can send any signal either the parallel out (straight DI) or the output which includes the sansamp's preamp and speaker simulation to any desk without a problem. Now you can stop bringing your amp to gigs, congrats you saved yourself a lot of work (assuming the sound guy is competent enough to put your signal in your monitor for you).

In my experience live sound guys love the Bass Driver almost as much as the people that play through them.

It does the job perfectly well. "dedicated" DI boxes give you more options like pads, ground lifts, phase switches and so on but the BDDI does the basics just fine.

Mine has a ground lift but no pad unless the circuit is active. Unless I'm missing something obvious?
