about to install superior drummer 2 on my pc, any advise?

Hello,

got a pc and i am running pro tools 10. i have read a ton of threads talking about how much of a nightmare this is to install. just looking for any tips or tricks before i begin that might help from people who have been there.

Not a nightmare, just a lot of different things to install. Make sure you download the updates from the Toontrack website after everything is done, and make sure you grab the Avatar library. Shouldn't be too bad though.

ok i just installed this and it went smooth as silk. my question is does SD come with a ton of midi grooves and drumkits? i dont see any midi grooves and the only drumkit i see is NY avatar. is there more or is that it?

now i have to install the update to bring me to the current version.

One kit (with a bunch of different pieces obviously), a few grooves. I think you have to download the grooves online from Toontrack, if memory serves. If not, it's on the disc somewhere.

hey guys, got 2.0 going no prob (its actually 2.2.1)

went to the toontrack site and dowloaded the upgrade to 2.3.1.

installed it and SD still says V 2.2.1.

i tried to re-install the update and SD install wizard told me that V 2.3.1 is already installed.

so who is right? the wizzard or what it says in SD itself?
