Acoustic Guitar Strings, Clarity in Drop D ?

for drop d, actually. i'd go medium i just put some on last night, man. beautifull. thats all i can say even with my shitty pg81s, the acoustic sounded delicious and it stays in tune, defiantly get it

Stay away from the D'Addario EXP - pure crap. I have had nothing but excellent results with the Elixir Nanowebs, medium-lights specifically. I never liked the Polyweb, the coating just felt far too thick. Nanowebs have a silky feel without dampening any of the brightness. Definitely worth a try if you haven't used them yet.

I've had nothing but great experience with Elixir acoustic strings. I used the 13-56 set in D standard for the acoustic bit at the end of "The Dragons" and I think it sounds great, even with the cheaper mics I used ( SM57 and Audiopile C300 ). Nanoweb is far better than Polyweb, polyweb feels bizarre.
