Hi there

May sounds quite stupid but I ask anyway :) I have some acoustic foam panels for a while. I was waiting to change the design of my room before placing. I don't want to hook them up directly to the walls, so I think to stick them on some cartboards then hang them on the walls but maybe there's a better way to do it?

Are you talking about that foam stuff like Auralex?

I used that stuff for a while a decade ago. Anyways, I just used tiny little nails. Smallest I could find that where long enough to stick to the wall. Right through the foam. The little tiny holes where hardly noticeable after I took them down and covered easy with a coat of paint. The foam is light enough to use tiny nails. I like your cardboard idea better though. I was lazy. They don't work that well anyways.

I bought some really thick posterboard.
Super glued old CDs to the back of the auralex, then duct taped them to the posterboard.

I was able to screw some hangers on the side, get some wire, and now it's like a picture frame.
