I need a new pair of monitors. I'm currently using a pair of Alesis M1 520 Actives. My room is small (3x3 mts long) and i'm afraid the HS80's can be a problem.

What you guys think?

Are the A5's a better choise?

Budget = 800$

Yeah man, HS50's are very good in a small room.

Not heard the Adam's myself, but I love my HS50's. If I ever get into a bigger room I'll be going for HS80's.

Cant stretch to A7? The extra bass response would do good but not be overwhelming. (6.5inch driver). I think the 8inch drivers could be a bit OTT in a small room, and the 5 inch adams would surely need some sub help.

I am using the hs80 in a room like yours.
You need some time (I needed about a week) to get used to it in the small room, but after that you will be totaly happy with them!!!

They are super accurate and not overpowering in the bass....

Never tried Adams but I have HS80s and definitely recommend them. Amazing for the cost. They have that NS10 quality where they translate everywhere really well.
The only negative is that the mids are really forward so it gets fatiguing when listening loud during tracking sessions.

I had the HS50's and upgraded to the HS80's a couple of months ago. I'm in a really small room also. The shift in bottom end was brilliant and I am very happy with the HS80's. DO EET :D
