Gee.

I have a floyd , and when I try to tune the damn thing down, i get tons of buzzes, is it just floyds are bad with down tuning or is there a way? Ive tried placing new strings and tuning them like that, still sounds like crap.

thanks

what strings do you use? try putting thicker strings like 10s or 11s, the lower the tuning the thicker strings you should use. Or mayby your string are too close to the neck, set them a bit higher.

when you tune down a floyd you actually have to recalibrate the whole thing...remember its a floating bridge set at a certain tension so tuning it down when its set to be in standard tuning doesnt work very well and can actually damage it i think.I dont think its that hard to do but I took mine to a guitar shop to get it done properly so I could be in D.

you have to open the back plate and either tighten or loosen the 2 screws that go from the springs in to the body of the guitar
