Based on one listen, it's simple: If you're only a fan of the first three, don't bother. If you dug Ascension of Terror and A Darker Monument, you'll like Hexaeon.

wait, so you don't like Aeternus for changing their sound, yet you don't like Morrigan and Graveland staying true to ther sound?

It's a little different. Aeternus went from kick-ass epic black metal to boring, standard death metal. In other words, from great to poop.

And I didn't say I didn't like Morrigan or Graveland; far from it. But anyone who tells me they're not just going through the motions with every release is kidding themselves. Except maybe Morrigan, that last album was pretty kick arse.
