Agalloch - Feb 14th NYC - Interview Questions

That would be good mate. I have interview questions drafted already which you can use if you like.

I just need to talk to Andreas @ The End to coordinate you hooking up with Haughm, and I have to work out if I can even make it to the show in Boston the following night. They're playing at a venue called The Middle East - it's like a little pub.

I just don't want to miss Agalloch. According to the guy who posted this cancellation update in the The End forum, they've simply added a second night in Toronto, instead of finding an alternative venue in NY/NJ which, to me, is just shocking considering the choice at hand.
i'll do it if you just send me some questions (if necessary i'll come up with a few on my own). i've never done an interview like this... what kind of recording equipment would i need? a simple tape recorder? do you want me to take pics as well? just give me the details and i'd be happy to do this if you need me to.

I'll send you the questions via RC e-mail in 2 minutes. Add/takeout whatever you want. This will be your interview, and of course you can play it by ear depending on what mood Haughm's in. Worst case scenario: talk about porn. :loco:

All you need is a simple handheld recorder. You can get them at Best Buy, Radioshack, etc. They are cheap - even a Sony will only cost you around $20-25. You can either get one that uses mini-cassettes, or you can get a digital recorder. Since it's a concert interview, I honestly don't think the interview would last longer than 10-15 minutes.

You don't need to take pics, but if you can get a camera into the place, by all means, take pics. I'll write to Andreas and tell him to put your name on the interview list. Once I get confirmation, I'll forward it to you. You can print it and take it to the show with you as proof.

The wife is loving all this by the way. She gets her Valentines dinner night out now. Believe me, I worked hard at getting this night off from 'er indoors.

Hash? Why treat them? We should be punishing them for playing in Canada. Twice!

The way things are going, BWD, you may have to be RC merchandise boy and go shopping for all our The Grey EP's. Of course, I'll paypal you upfront if need be.

So it's been a whole day since the cancellation, and still no official announcement/e-mails from The End Records or Agalloch re: the NY show this Saturday. Should we just assume to base everything on "Novembers Paul" random post in the TER forum?? Bloody hell.

*eye begins to twitch*

Well, Novembers Paul is indeed Paul Kuhr, the lead singer for Novembers Doom, so I would think that he knows the latest.

OK then. Deep down, I'm hoping that Agalloch will pull out of this tour line-up on Feb 14th, come down to NYC and play a show of their own, and then meet up again with the other bands on the 15th in MA.

*wipes tear from eye*

What was that? Eat more Cheerios? Alright, well since you're god and all I suppose I will.

Here's the set list from Cleveland (taken from a post in the TER forum):

Intro (Variation of Celebration For the Death of Man)
Dead Winter Days
Hallways of Enchanted Ebony
Odal
Of Stone, Wind, and Pillor
In the Shadow of Our Pale Companion (with different middle part)
The Lodge (Version from the Grey EP, complete with a quite dramatic, band collapsing ending)

No As Embers Dress the Sky though, although someone else said that they did play it. Pfft, make up your mind you Cleveland dirtbags.

Mighty fine setlist anyway - surprised about Dead Winter Days (!) and Odal, and no Hawthorne Passage or Melancholy Spirit...?

Tomorrow morning, I wake up on Valentines Day and try to persuade my wife that a weekend trip to Boston might be in order.

OK I'm taking a trip to MA today (tying in a visit to the in-laws tonight with the Agalloch show tomorrow night in Boston).

BWD - I have not heard anything from The End, neither have they updated their website with the NY cancellation etc, so I'm not sure what's going on. I have no confirmation for your interview with Haughm, so if I were you, I'd just go and enjoy the DC show. If you could eventually write a live report, however, that would be great. Goat knows that's an RC section that needs an update....

Markgugs - I wrote you an e-mail too, but if you fancy taking a trip up to Boston tomorrow, I could meet you up there perhaps?
