is this a band thats hard to get into? i dont see what the big deal about them is

I think they're fucking great. Almost like a Burzum mixed with My Dying Bride with great production & much better playing. I've been listening to them a lot these last few weeks... Agalloch & DLR era Van Halen & DLR solo shit. lofl

Actually the comparison is quite obvious. Both are a means of communicating to other people what you listen to. And you most likely would not do it if you in some way wanted to communicate said information. So honestly, having a last.fm in your signature isn't much better than having a band logo collage.
