I've never liked Hammerfall that much. Especially when you compare them to many of their contemporaries like Lost Horizon, Nocturnal Rites, Blind Guardian, Stratovarius, Grave Digger, Domine, etc. Their first two albums are actually quite good but I don't find myself listening to much after that.

1988 thread listening in full swing! I have a friend who likes the Misfits and refuses to listen to this album when I tell him it's good.
I haven't talked to him in years so that very well may have happened to him already.
