4.5-5 is all-time favourite territory on most people's scales so that shouldn't be surprising. i'm not sure i've heard anything (metal) this year that i can see myself hailing as a classic ten years down the line, although where non-metal's concerned i did drop 5 stars on richard dawson's PEASANT.

lol is that really my ALIEN rating? my RYM film ratings are out of date, i only keep my criticker updated properly. bumping that up, tis the best of the series, no disagreements there. i stand by 3 over ALIENS though, not a massively controversial opinion these days tbh

there were a couple of metal albums last year i've considered bumping to 4.5 as they've held up well (sorcier des glaces and maybe lethal steel). it'll probably take more time to decide if anything from this year deserves it.
