Albums currently kicking your ass

This album is terrifying.

Just found out about this last week. Their last two records were pretty bad, but this kicks ass:

Dude, I had no idea Wovenhand had a new album out. I love those guys! I pretty much love everything they put out, but I'd probably put 'The Threshingfloor' as their weakest. It's still great though. 16 Horsepower has some solid albums as well.

If I had to label it, I'd say raw campfire black metal. Awesome!

The Threshingfloor was the first record that introduced me to this amazing band, and it gave me a huge imperssion at first, this and the self-titled one actually. Unfortunately, the band's other releases didn't have much appeal to me. Really don't know why. Anyway, all their albums are pretty solid and original.

Come on, every metal homosexual that listens to them only did so because they were introduced to the concept of mindnumbingly tedious melodies via Daudi baldrs. Or maybe because they're ANUS-approved (but that was likely only because of their influence on dungeon synth, so same thing). Stop now or before you know it you'll be a fan of Current 93's "neofolk" phase.

Any website that can praise both Dead Can Dance and My Bloody Valentine without mention of Cocteau Twins is shit. Not to mention including a billion forgettable death metal bands yet having a comp as the only Vitus mention. They also praise mediocrity like Roadrunner-era Sepultura and Persecution Mania. I think it's legitimately somewhat sad that their promotional efforts throughout metal forums have actually gotten people to take 10% of what they say seriously.

I found dcd through dargaard and dvke. Dcd has some great stuff, but also some ok stuff. I have the 2cd comp Wake from them and its all I need.

Anus like some good stuff, but they overrate a lot of shit as well. The reviews are goddamn annoying. I can just see that twat sitting there with a thesaurus writing that schlock.
