Disfear - Live the Storm: D-beat hardcore featuring Tomas Lindberg of At The Gates on vocals and Uffe Cederlund of Entombed on guitar. Really aggressive, really awesome. Tomas' vocals definitely have improved since SotS and this makes me more excited for At War With Reality.

A friend recently introduced me to wardruna. I thought it was pretty cool until they started singing. One of my main problems with folk and shit like it, can't stand the vocal style.

I really dig the chanty/ritualistic style folk stuff. Its when it starts getting happy and pushing the boundaries of power metal that it really gets me. And I don't mind power metal so much... but when you cross the two it starts getting really queer.

Not a Ghaal fan, huh? Wardruna's work on the show "Vikings" was pretty good actually. Especially the song "Blood Eagle."

I'm into Wardruna's style myself. I love that tribalistic percussion lead music. Especially Runaljod - Yggdrasil the work on that is awesome and imo their best album so far. I can't wait to hear the third part of that trinity album.

And let the fanboying over the new Darkspace begin. First listen and I'm hooked. I'll have to order this sometime.
