God fucking damn. 1st time listening to this all the way through, and this might be my favorite thing theyve done. When they played at the Hollywood Cemetery a few weeks ago, they mainly played songs off this and The Bees Made Honey In The Lions Skull, and it was one of the best sets Ive seen in a awhile.
There were no vocals used live on the vocal tracks from the album though, so I was expecting less vocals because they played almost the whole album so I couldnt help but initially feel the vocals were out of place (because its fucking Earth), but god damn they fit right in with their tasty, doomy and droney riffs, practically giving me a contact high.
Love it.

Artificial Brain - Labyrinth Constellation
Might take DM album of the year for me. It's not every day you see a tech death band signed to Profound Lore, but after listening to the record, holy hell.
It's Mithras/Demilich/Time Ghoul caliber tech death, the songwriting is absolutely sublime, the production is supremely organic-sounding, and overall the group is incredibly well-versed in progressive metal tropes (DSO-isms and what have you).

I have two songs left on that Artificial Brain, but I already know I'll play it at least once more tonight. Never heard of them, but good find, Kevin. Really creepy, twisted sounding death metal, bad ass lyrics, everything feels like horror but in a clean, precise, tight, riff-savvy way. Loving this

Excellent choice, I'm really looking forward to seeing them live. This album is just fantastic.
