Albums currently kicking your ass

Definitely my favourite Iron Maiden record, the last 3 songs especially.

Good to see Quest for Fire and Sun & Steel get some love. Every song is amazing, fuck anyone that says it's inconsistent.

It's just me being autistic about my doom metal. I'd still rather listen to Candlemass and Pagan Altar over Electric Wizard any day, but I now can tell that I was being retarded.

However, the C.O.T.D. still lives.

If that's being retarded then I can't say much about myself, as I fully support that opinion.
I respect Electric Wizard and happen to think Come My Fanatics is a classic in it's own right, but at the same time I think they're the worst thing to happen to Doom Metal, the domino-effect of shitty, boring, mediocre clone bands they set off makes me puke.

How anybody can dig Cough or Witchsorrow is fucking beyond me.

Oh I know, it's just that a lot of people act as if the album takes a big dip in quality after The Trooper, which is one of the worst opinions possible. Too many people getting their panties in a bunch over a lyric on dinosaurs.

Fuck yeah! :kickass:

Once their self titled sinks in, give Soma a try. Its a bit different of a approach (especially with two songs totaling over 45 minutes), but solid nonetheless.

Tried this album yesterday while going through a bunch of new BDM and thought it was the worst I heard.

I tend to bypass most standard bdm so that in itself may be telling. I'm pretty picky with the brutal stuff for reasons I can't explain. Really like this one though, and its sister album by Embodied Torment.

The same idiots are probably nostalgia-jizzing over the new Jurassic Park film.

What does that have to do with anything? It's not a silly lyric merely because it mentions dinosaurs. It suggests that dinosaurs and humans once coexisted, and that trope annoys the shit out of me. Fortunately, it's just one line at the very beginning, so it doesn't manage to ruin the whole song.
