@crunchy: I wasn't very impressed with Book of Black Earth for several reasons. The first was that they play way too loud, and through vintage amplifiers which sound like shit when everything is turned up to 10. The sound guy wasn't much help either, but I still didn't like their sound.
The second was that when I talked to them about this design they have on their shirts/patches/other merch (a lot of which is very awesome):
They told me they had no idea that the sign on the skull is a white supremacist symbol. And yet there it is, still on display on their myspace.
I don't have any problem with NS bands. They have their beliefs, however counter-progressive they might be. But a local NSBM band by the name of Nightbringer was one of the opening acts for this show. They were harassing a black man outside of the venue and the vocalist/bassist of Book of Black Earth stepped in and said that racism wasn't cool and all this shit. Well then take the white supremacist symbol off all your shit, moron.
