These guys can rock, but their vocalist is horrible. I could never get into them because of the vocals. Just atrocious, whiny faggotry on top of heavy as balls guitar riffs. It doesn't fit.

Possibly. It's a seriously good album, but lacks the scope and feeling of the previous two. Unchain The Wolves is definitely the best, but I've been listening to Phoenix Rising a lot lately and I reckon if you got rid of the first track and gave it production like Unchain or Terror Abraxas, you would have close to the perfect heavy metal album.
