i say good job for starters. ;)

i'm going to be subjective here:

the guitars are weak... they lack depth/attack/definition and are much too "loud" in the mix. if you are going to push the guitars way up in the mix like that, you need to "cut holes" in the synth (or vice versa) so both don't compete.

there is no bass (from what i can hear). some of the drum roll/fills sound artificial (not only on a programming perspective but also in the tone & balance). most of the toms and cymbals have an exaggerated separation which is causing some strange comb filtering.

the arrangement is good but it doesn't speak as a "cover" should. imo, if you are going to cover a song, you must either do one of two things:

1) make it sound identical.

or

2) make it sound completely different.

this attempt was neither.

Thank's for the tips Tim, I really appreciate it.

I agree with you. A cover should sound Identical, but I really am no Sturgis. :p

I worked a little more on the mix following all your tips, I'll re-upload soon.

Nice guitars and good kick drum. The fills and some of the beats are not accurate but I think you already know that.. The snare sounds pretty far in the mix, I would bring it up a little bit.

Thank's for the kind words! Yep, the fills suck, I worked on them, as for the snare, I completely replaced it with a sample I was working on. Ill re upload today. I hope it sounds better this time ;)

the drums sound really good. It's always hard to judge guitars without bass so if you could get that I think it would help a lot. Even if it is programmed or just guitar pitched down
