It sure looks like some green thing around it's finger. But he can still hold a beer so it shouldn't be that much of a deal :)

Since holding a beer and playing guitar is pretty much the same. Kinda:p

^True, and also I think that with the banana headstock it looks way better. Seems like Henkka's the only one who really has an identic signature series (besides havin LTD written instead of ESP).

Don't wanna rain on your parade, but I remember you calling it "Joe-style" when you first posted this way.

I don't remember it, but even if that's true (it may be, I won't deny it cos I'm not sure, I just don't like Joe going *ehem I was first newfag copied me*) if we call copying someone to using the multiquote button then the first registered user may come aswell and tell us that we copied him by making posts. It's not the fact of who was first but the fact that he takes credit for using a damn feature of the forum. I have never said it's my signature move, people have said it cos I tend to do it a lot, but I never thought that using it could be really something special/important.

So it's the Ring finger, worst one possible. For me it took 3 years to heal before it didn't considerably bother anymore.

Cool pics with the guitars!

They say breaking of a finger takes 2 tot 4 weeks to heal. But it can also take longer and it could happen that the finger never will be the same again. He should really do lots of finger exercises once he's allowed to.

And I stop worrying about them not playing on feb. 12th. First of all I'll see what happens with the dates before that.

It depends how it's broken. If it didn't go out of shape and damage the nerves then maybe he'll be able to shred again.

And Journey :) This is a big deal though,I seriously hope the finger's gonna heal up before the UK dates, and before everyone elses shows..it happened about two weeks ago..? so that's probably another two to get better even before he can start practising to build back up speed before the gigs...

Still, I 'd much rather miss a few shows and wait till next time round if it means he'll be able to rest his finger longer and for the right amount of time needed to ensure it'll heal up properly. Thanks for the pics Sleeper :) The blacky is actually looking pretty cool right there though I didn't like it in the begining..he needs a new look though, I'm sick of looking at the same design over and over in different colours..

The shit thing about joints getting fucked up, whether it be in fingers, shoulder or any place else, is they never heal properly. I just think it's the essence that when the crew are packing things up after a gig and a guitarist tries to help out of his generosity by carrying a guitar case or whatever, someone shouts at him to get the fuck off. So that anything like this wouldn't happen.

You're all very pestamistic people. Yeah, any finger on the scale finger is bad, I'd agree but remember when he broke his shoulder and everyone said it was the end of Bodom... he even said himself that it'll never be the same again. I've seen Bodom twice since then and tbh I'd consider the "never be the same again" statement to be utter bullshit.

The human body is a fucking awesome machine, it can with stand all kinds of crazy shit... I'm not saying he'll play every show but I doubt it'll be the end of Bodom.

Joonas, there's no need to go pesimistic. Joints do heal properly if they're taken with care and seriously. I don't know what past stories you may have had and I'm sorry if you had one and had the bad luck to not get it fully healed, but my father is an orthopedic surgeon and has treated quite a lot (including myself last year and when I was 10 or something) and most of them (if the patient takes care and pays attention to what the doctor tells him/her to do) do heal properly, so no need to worry excessively IMHO.

But but but... it's the almigthy offset V shape  It's (don't jump on me people I know Randy Rhoads was the first one and all that shit, but still) become Alexi's trademark, like Janne's drinking while playing  I would find really weird if I saw Alexi with another guitar. Even the part of COBTV part 1 where he's playing with one of Roope's guitars feels weird to me

I definitely agree that the RR has become (one of) Alexi's trademarks.

Though, I am curious as to what he would play, if not an RR. I mean, I can't think of one major guitar player who only ever sticks to one type of guitar. Even Slash plays a Mockingbird once and a while, and Rhoads himself also played LP's, and Jimmy Page has Teles. Zakk Wylde uses those Splittail things. Hendrix used Flying V's. The list goes on. Hell, Roope has varying guitars he uses, as we know, and he's a big RR-user himself.

I know he's played an RG a long time ago, and some LTD EC in some random instructional video, but still.
