Anybody played the demo? Hate it? Dig it?

I thought it was okay for a demo but they basically said "the real games much better" so it was more like a beta than a demo.

Or I am alone here?

Haha yeah the online modes seem pretty cool such as one where you get a team together and your pelted by countless waves of aliens and they get gradually harder. Like nazi zombie mode in COD.

Well some games are better on different platforms, I can never play console joypads for one.

Its said this was "made" for PC, but who knows. Ill find out how crap it is tommorow.

Let us know. I've heard the controls for the Alien are rather poor, but aside from that there is a cool multi experience waiting.

Absolutely loved the gore on the game, but I don´t think I´m getting this one. Reminds me a mix of Left 4 Dead versus mode with an old Half-Life mod called Natural Selection.
Anyone got the demo through Steam? Does it install the "Games For Windows Live" thing?

Gotta admit im slightly confused too..I have the demo on xbox....are we talking about the same game here?

Yeah its called that but its the 3rd installment in the AVP game franchise

I downloaded the demo from psn, I liked the second revision ( for the ps3) of it, I could find a party to join finally! ( the first ps3 demo they released was completely horrid, you couldn't find those 8 players you need for the multiplayer demo, no soundtrack...)

I have reserved the Hunter edition on my local shop just to have the life sized facehugger

About the game, what I've played...if you love the movies, like I do, it's great, if not:

-Not that modern graphics or animations, really dated graphics ( for a modern machine like current generations)
-You don't have the possibility to "aim" on the game as a marine
-Aliens are a pain to control
-Online kids have no life and will kill you instantly
-If you're not into the movie, the proximity sensor beeping will piss you off

I'll tell you guys about it on saturday since I'll get the game tomorrow

i had a little raz on the demo the other night but i had the speakers muted cos i had the brand new eyes vinyl playing and i was way too stoned to have much of an idea of what was going on, but it seemed pretty fun, considering picking it up

Some guys were so good on the demo after like 2 days they clearly had no life, that was annoying. The alien controls aren't that terrible, I have to turn auto wall-transition on though, still makes me feel a little sick when your flying round a huge tunnel on all 4 walls

FUUUUUUUUUUUU sega didn't brought enough hunter edition copies today! They called me up looking to arrange a deal...10 euros discount on it for the hassle, but no facehugger til next week

Yeah! the hunter edition is 20 bucks more than the standard edition and comes with a facehugger lifesize replica, a weyland yutani patch and some art book I think

Well, the throwing blade...I saw the shuriken last november in Barcelona, 450 bucks have you seen the costumes made by people on the hunter's lair? omg there's some people that made it!

P.S. Yeah, I'm a diehard fan of both franchises

Haha same here man and yeah those life size costumes are insane! Theres alot of those "busts" out there like the Predator head/mask, amazing detail, can take the mask off and it has the targeting laser you can switch on and off ahhhhh its like being a little kid again
