All I Want - A Day To Remember's New song.

If this mix sounded like "right where you want me to be" then I would be satisfied.

surprised people are grating on the mix - obviously its just a youtube vid, and its been taken down now so im going off how i remember it sounding but it sounded great on there.

people find it very easy to slate a mix without taking into account all the circumstances of it - budgets, labels etc. things are going to end up a certain way when you have pressure from record labels and the band wanting things done. a lot of people look past how much influence the tracking has over the mix, without knowing the full circumstances of how it was recorded. im sure when the cd comes out it will sound great, bendeth is up there at the top of his game for a reason.

Not diggin it. Listening to that "2nd Sucks" clip since the original link is dead...not digging that kick at all, snare is too loud and sound like slate 12a with almost no processing (that one always needs some shaping imo), guitars are muddy. Ehhh....Its just barely listenable for me, pretty weak mix. "Right Where You Want Me to be" is really solid though.

the mix is rad for sure.
i don't know man, i can barely make it through one song on homesick, but i spin for those who have heart on a daily basis maybe i like shitty taste in music

i've always seen homesick as a metal cd instead of hardcore cd because it just doesn't get me pumped the way for those who have heart does

This

also the last song of Homesick is so fucking EPIC

Have to 'like' the page to listen, but this song is pretty damn good. Suuuuper brutal, I'm guessing the rest of the album is somewhere between this and All I Want. If I were in that band, I'd release the comercial single and then the brutal song on the album to make sure you cover both halves of your audience when it comes to promo.

Adam D didnt do this one, it was Andrew Wade

Edit: actually here it is start to finish

Produced by Chad Gilbert and Andrew Wade
Pre-Production by Tom Denney and Andrew Wade
Mixed by David Bendeth
Mastered by Ted Jensen

^^Snag that from the wikipedia? I actually had to edit that article to include the Bendeth/Jensen references, as they were originally credited to Adam D, falsely. Check Bendeth's facebook - he posted a link to the All I Want video when it was first put on YT way back when, and gave a shoutout to Jensen for mastering it.

yessir :)

plus I havent read Adam D's name on anything production wise lately. Its all been rumors.

Yeah, they always track with Wade. His drum room is TINY and wayyyy dead sounding. The snare must be completely replaced. I respect the hell out of Andrew, but his stuff doesn't sound THAT good. He gets lots of work, though. He's obviously doing something right.

We actually tracked these drums in a different studio with a pretty big tracking room.

No it was actually a studio in town that recently closed down. the tracking room was about the same size as tom's though.
