since i'm living in lübeck and everyone that's coming from scandinavia or GB has to pass here anyway, why don't we have a couple of beers (i owe gavin 10 bottles anyway ;) ) and record a wacken song together?
i don't mean like sending files and crap, but like real studio-live-recording?

Man, fuck!

I'd be up for this but this year i decided to skip wacken to hit Masters of Rock and the Metal Camp (11days solid festvial in a row) :D

That's a long way from Scotland... Seems after a few years it really starts to get well known in the whole European Scene!

Man, 50% of the fun of festival season is the really obscure journeys i take to them

The other 45% is the campsite drinking and banter.

5% for bands :D

Well I would say 25/60/15 but I get your point!

I've been going to festivals for quite a few years now but it's only been last summer that I've gotten into this whole backstage/press/vip/<insertgroupofpeopletryingtolookimportantwiththeirpasseshangingdowntotheirkneeshere>-pass thing and it really changes a lot of your festival experience. you can't run around being fucked up all day because otherwise you'd probably have to pay next time if you'd want to go to the festival again. :goggly:

You can gain a lot of great and interesting insights in the business and meet a lot of people so it's not too bad.

So having seen both sides of it I guess I'll go vip again next time - just cause it's more comfortable having your own parking lot/tribune/entry/whatever.

The last festival I've been to this summer I didn't drink a lot but I threw bread on a guy who was sitting on a toilet ("ToiToi" or "Dixie" anyone? :Puke: ) he had thrown over before at the first I was to this year so I guess that kinda says it all.

on a sitenote: You know we're talking at least 10+ beers a day when I started out going to festivals... :goggly: :kickass:

and btw: I love Festivals! :Smokin:

for the last 5 years i always had wacken-vip/backstage passes, but still wasn't there.....doesn't make that much of a difference, the disadvantages of a festival that's just too big are the same...

:zombie:
