Allen and Heath zed r16 or RME FF800?????? opinions?

im looking at getting a new interface was pretty set on the RME but this allen and heath board looks awesome, and i love the idea of running through an analog EQ. do you think the quality of the RME's pres and conversion is going to be much better than the ZED r16. and also does anyone have any experience with the eq on the r16?

im more-so looking for another engineer's opinion on the comparison or more preferably experience between the two.

that and i believe there are more insightful things being discussed in andys forum rather than gearsluts.
