Alternatives To C4 for guitar comp

I've become quite used to using the C4 on guitar tracks to tame palm mutes. However I'm not going to have access to it for much longer. I looked at buying it myself, but it's stupid expensive.

Anyone have an suggestions for a similar multiband compressor plug? Preferably RTAS or TDM.

I got bored and posted a step-by-step of doing this manually (with nothing more than EQ and a 'normal' compressor) in

but if you do a Google for something like 'C3 free multiband compressor' you'll find the only other one I've used extensively - I'd recommend it but I don't remember its formats.
