I was just shuffling around myspace bands and there was this band that my girlfriend wanted to check out called "The Eternal", (I have heard of their name, but never their music)... So what I stumble upon... there is this first song on their myspace player called "Blood", I start to hear and think it's not bad, has a good middle eastern feeling... but then it strikes me... I hear a REAL resemblance, and it immediately comes to my mind... "This looks A LOT like Home from Dream Theater", so I fire it up and compare both and it's EXACTLY the same! 2 sections are practically equal... you can even mix up both songs...

and this is Dream Theater's "Home":

First listen to Eternal's song... and when you start to "feel" the resemblance listen to the DT's Home and let it go, even the breakdown part, with the heavy chuggy guitars is the SAME!
With that fuzz with Satch and Coldplay, even though I notice almost zero resemblance... This here is a prime example... DT should be able to sue them... When you listen you'll see what I mean... It's mind blowing how can they create something just plain equal!
Am I the only one that sees this or is this just a new way to panic when I'm 30min into an acoustics final exam
