Am I the only one that thinks Michael Romoe should compose for a movie?

Seriously, or Symphony X.

Some of the stuff he comes up with and Symphony are just awesome and would fit a movie (Christopher Nolan, hire him or them for your next movie) so well! Plus Pinella, is crazy awesome with piano/synths as well.

Like the intro for Paradise Lost: Great orchestra piece, probably one of my favorites of all time, incorporates so many little things to add the piece.

The Odyssey, itself is like the greatest epic ever for prog metal!

The Accolade: Straight up awesome classical oriented track, Symphony X just kick butt so much with it!

The Iconoclast title track incorporates some great choir parts and modern composing as well!

Anyway, probably would never happen, but I would love to hear even Romeo to do like a whole orchestra album with Pinella or something, it'd be awesome!

You're not the only one, I think it would be awesome and I'm 100% for it if he chooses to go for it.

He did say that he'd love to do film or game scores if he had the time. There's no way he'd get hired by somebody like Christopher Nolan (lack of experience, plus you need some hook/inside connection for Hollywood), but he can definitely get involved in some video game and low budget movie projects and he can certainly pull it off. Unfortunately the band is the priority. As you may probably know, film scoring is a really tough business in terms of deadlines and shit like that. He'd probably need to take a break from the band altogether, which would mean the entire band stopping (touring, writing, and production wise), which I don't think would happen anytime soon.

what does he do in his spare time?
I mean with how much Russell Allen spend on shit like Adrenaline Mob, Romeo should have some time off as well. especially considering they wrote the last album (or was that paradise lost?) while on tour.

It's different for Romeo since he does everything in the studio. Time spent on something other than family or the band would probably be taken from the band's time = Expect the next album to be out in 20 years.

They don't write while on tour, just fyi.. doesn't work for them.

And Mike would LOVE to compose movie scores.
