Amazing places you have been

Here's a separate post for places that I want to visit.

This is my friend in Jiuzhaigou - Sichuan Province, China.

Great topic.

-The Blueridge Mountain Parkway is amazing.
-Jamaicas Martha Bray river and also taking a boat from Montego Bay to Negril was probably the best...great fun.
-Cancun Mexico...my most recent vaca...loved it.
-Daytona Beach Fla. is a special place.
-In my New England parts...I truly love Vermont in the fall (esp the Quechee Gorge area). The coastal stretch from Rockland to Camden Maine is as quaint and special as it gets. The Kangamangus H.W., Rye Beach and Lake Winnipesaukee are some of my fave New Hampshires spots. Cape Cod, Boston, Newburyport and Salisbury Beach in Mass.
-Nova Scotia is nice.

@Dak
Im looking at pics of Silverthorne now and it looks amazing. Any particular spots worth checking out? I plan on renting a 4 wheeler for the day and sightseeing that way.

The White River national forest should be awesome, there is some sweet scenery to be seen just from the interstate, so I am sure theres more off it.

Unfortunately I don't know any details about the area, I just got to drive through a few times while trucking. I want to go back to actually check it all out sometime.

You forgot Belfast.

Much better then those rich tourist attracting bitches.

Although it is a pretty nice stretch that I'll being going through later today.

]7.) Castlerigg Stone Circle, Keswick, England. I LOVE HENGES.

I highly recommend you go see the Callanish Stones on the Isle of Lewis if you ever decide to venture back here to Scotland. I reckon you'd really dig some of the neolithic stuff on Orkney as well.

Also, I never thought I'd see the day Arthur's Seat was on someone's top places in the world list. It's really awesome just to sit up there watching the sun set though, one of the few really good things about living here I suppose.

Cape Verde is amazing, I've been there 5 times and hopefully this summer there will be a 6th time (for those of you who don't know, Cape Verde is a small group of islands located off of the coast of Africa).

Praia is an island with a ton of restoraunts and clubs, and Sal and Bovista are areas that attract a lot of tourists because of the beaches. Brava is a very poor island, they get very little tourists there.
^I believe that photo is of Sal, though I am not entirely sure. Cape Verde is beautiful.

Morocco was also amazing, I went there on a cruise quite a few years ago and I fell in love with the food and music, and really just the whole culture.

I have Cape Cod sand in my shoes, I've been to cape cod more times than I can count on both hands.

I've been to New York city 3 times and all three times where great.

My mother really would like me to travel with her to both Portugal and Paris this summer, but I'm anticipating going to Cape Verde once more with my father instead (I haven't been to Cape Verde in about two or three years and I really miss my family there).

Ahhh yes Belfast...been a while since I've been up that way. Isn't Belfast just North of the areas I mentioned...also home of Stephen King?

I went to Finland about a year ago and saw KIUAS! I stayed in Turku and Helsinki and took a ferry to Stockholm for a couple days. That was sweet.

I also studied abroad in Cambridge, and from there got to see Dublin and Edinburgh.

I havent been there yet,but I desperately want to go to India. The plan is to go from south to North india, and then IDEALLY spend some time in a monastery/temple in in the North. Im not a religious person, but living in a world where your always connected to internet/phone ect ect ect cannot be healthy. Being in a temple in the mountains would do me good i think.

I'm blown away after researching this. Talked to the missus and its looking like this could be our next destination.

Sounds like a damn good plan, might do this myself sometime.

A cool place I've been to is Yosemite.

Krampus, where do you get the money to travel all over the world? Yes I'm being nosey only because I'm jealous.

My mom took me on a few trips to Europe when I was in college, which I appreciate and plan to reciprocate a few years down the road. After that I worked and spent a good portion of my money on travel, which I can do because my living expenses are extremely low (my rent here is about $120/month) and I don't have any dependents.

Yeah, just about 20-30 minutes North up route 1.

Also, Bangor is where Stephen is from.

Gotcha, thanks. My in-laws lived in Rockland for a few years...so we always made it a point to atleast visit and stay for the annual Lobster Festival held in Rockland. I'm sure you've heard of or been to it? I should have mentioned the breakwater stretch that runs out from Rockports Samorset resort to the lighthouse point...this is such a great hangout / scenic location.
