Just booked from Chicago on Airtran for $190. I wanted to wait a few more days since I have had pretty good luck the last couple years at the end of Jul/early Aug, but I figured I'd just take it. It was only $0.60 more than I paid two years ago on 7/30 and $12.60 more than I paid last year on 8/4.

Just checked Delta's site this morning and anyone flying from Phoenix to Atlanta can score a non-stop round trip ticket for about $220!!! That's a killer deal. I don't know if the prices are that good from other cities, but please pass this info along!

Thanks for the heads up! I just facebooked it.

Damn it...I booked with AirTran for one-way between Las Vegas and Atlanta (Sept. 14) for $233 on June 19. Today, I could get the very same flight for $148...Anyone knows AirTran policies? I think the cancellation fee is $75, so it would be no use for me to go through this to save $10 in the end. That sucks...I should have waited a bit more before booking as it seems

Is this cheaper flight that you mention via AirTrain also? I'm pretty sure they do indeed offer credits for price drops. I'd give them a call 1-800-AIR-TRAN (1-800-247-8726). The worst they could say is "no".

Damnit no airlines are offering any discount flights from EL Paso, in fact some have increased by $12-$20, that sucks

Thanks Jen for the tip. The lower flight was indeed with AirTran as well. I just called and they gave me a credit of $79 that will be good for one year. The sad thing is that the nearest places from my home where they fly are Albany, NY, or Boston, MA, which are each more than a 6-hour drive, so it's quite unlikely that I'll be able to actually use that credit. I'll be flying from Las Vegas in September because I'll be there for a learning course. But the guy told me that the credit can be used by someone else, if I pay with my credit card, so maybe I'll be able to do something with it anyway.
