AMON AMARTH and SABATON will join forces for a North American tour this fall. The trek kicks off on September 25 in Riverside, California and visits a total of 35 North American cities before coming to an end on November 9 in Tucson, Arizona. Thrash metal band SKELETONWITCH will open each show, except in New York where fans will be treated to the first-ever, and exclusive North American performance by extreme metal supergroup VALLENFYRE. Tickets will go on sale on May 30. The record arrived in stores on June 25, 2013 via Metal Blade Records.Recorded at Backstage Studios in Derbyshire, United Kingdom, and produced, mixed and mastered by Andy Sneap (OPETH, MEGADETH, EXODUS, ARCH ENEMY, KILLSWITCH ENGAGE), "Deceiver Of The Gods" delivers ten fiery battle hymns made of buzzsaw riffs and epic harmonies all driven by vocalist Johan Hegg's commanding Viking roar and absorbing accounts of Norse crusades and treachery. "Deceiver Of The Gods" comes adorned with another outstanding Tom Thiel-created cover portraying a mythical battle between the Norse Gods Loki and Thor. As an added bonus, Messiah Marcolin (CANDLEMASS) makes an appearance as guest vocalist on eighth track, "Hel".SABATON's new album, "Heroes", was released on May 16 via Nuclear Blast Records. The cover artwork for the effort was created by Péter Sallai.
