What's your opinion on the new album? I think it rocks.
It's even better than The Crusher. This will be added to my "Top albums of 2002" list!

I never cared for their older material because the Rythym seemed to drown out their harmonies way too much and it bored me to tears. I think they just took a hint and smoothed over their production so that it works like it should. They've at least balanced it, and I enjoyed the new songs I heard much more than the last ones. Here's a band that fixed something that was average and noticed it wasn't working to well to something great that should have always been, or was. (In flames can you take a hint? )

Considering that the Crusher fucking sucked, one of the most monotonous albums I've heard, it is far better. It's not better than the Avenger though, but it's a solid album.

I like Vs The World a lot. I think that almost all worthwhile metal comes from Sweden (with Anathema and Vader being the exceptions.)

i would hope vs the world was better than the crusher, because i found the crusher a horrid thing to sit through and listen. its too bland and monotonous like iandork stated. I might go pick up vs the world sometime this week

Heheh that's for sure. The guys could've farted into kazoos and it would've been way better than The Crusher. That was the only album I ever bought where I really felt ripped off afterwards. Well... that and KillingCulture.
