An evening of Pagan Folk Metal -- this is where we listen and drink beer together!!

I'd support it for sure. It is a good idea. My initial response was just me being a smartarse. Zod wouldn't have to turf out all the cash anyway, I'm sure everyone around here would put in a bit and it'd be paid for in no time.

I might considering supporting that, as long as NAD doesn't get a say in what's played. ;)
The way they do it with Seismic is, they have regulary scheduled shows, where different people will DJ for anywhere from one to two hours. People can stream the music down from the net, and at the same time discuss it in the chat room. So obviously, the DJ chooses what's played, but will often take requests from the chat room. And obviously, the shows tend to take on themes, depending on the DJ's personal tastes.

let's calculate!

assume that we would stream 10 hours a week at 128 kbit/s

128 * 60 * 60 * 10 = 4 600 000 bits per 10 hours

assume that we have 20 listeners every time

4 600 000 * 20 = 92160 kbits

four weeks in a month:

4 * 92160 = 368640 kbits

in bytes!

368640 / 8 = 46080 kbytes ~= 46 Mb

wait that sounds too little! what have i done wrong if anything

anyway just check how much the bandwidth costs are and that's it
