An evening of Pagan Folk Metal -- this is where we listen and drink beer together!!

Like I do every now and then, I went on kerrazy-torrents.net and dloaded everything with the words pagan, folk, or viking in the description and came across Kromlek - "Strange Rumours... Distant Tremors"
Pretty epic Viking/Folk Metal, I'm diggin it a lot. There are folk melodies all over this bitch. Listener be warned though, they seem to occasionally venture into the jollyfolk realm.

One more that I came across in my travels through the intarweb (this is what happens when you're jobless and you left your social life back at college):
Slavland - Echa Wieków Pradawnych
This Polish band's latest effort has much balls, and some cool folk instrument work.

:kickass:

Odd album. Features thrash/speed metal riffs, jollyfolk, mournful clean vocals, happy vocals, harsh vocals, accordion.....they throw everything into the mix, and it all blends together very well. Haven't heard any other Arkona but on one listen in, this new one seems very promising...

"legender odin" indeed

people* who don't know swedish/norwegian need to stop trying to use it
