An intellectual stripping down of Metalocalypse...

I think metal might be the only genre where this kind of thing occurs.
That is, pop culture borrows from the legion and we NOTICE.

Does poser even exist in any other genre?

btw, I can see where the guy is coming from. Personally, I can be pretty territorial about my music. Sometimes I find myself burying all my favorite bands behind a wall of wit. I know it does not matter, really, but even as I endeavor to be indifferent to it, I occasionally fail.

If an email was easier to find I would've have told them this but christ.. it's just music and furthermore its just a damn tv show! And the paradox: This guy typed a biased review, what's the point in that? Is he trying to tell us that if we think for ourselves we watch dethklok? I don't get it... the only sheep in the realm of watching and not watching dethklok are the ones who don't because of that little elitist rant of his.

I agree with both these statements. I too sometimes get very territorial about my music, but I really don't see Dethklok being a threat to the metal scene.
I do think the guy who wrote this is very silly. Hessians are German mercenaries, not metal fans.

I've read anus for a while. This guy has very few good things to say about metal thats not recorded on a 4 track in the mountains.

Conceptually progressive extremism this death metal, Uniting architecture destroys expression from uniting album. Precision denies evolutionary and neo-classical concludes yet dividing, conceptual neo-classicism. Romantic death metal denies neo-classicism upon foggy conclusion, Textural sense concludes the neo-classicism to spiritual power chords, Greatly harmonic performance yet melody, Narration denies evolutionary and foggy clashes with and elitistic, atonal cycle, Chaos divides conceptual and abstract distorts with polyrhythmic, searing drums.
