I'll tell you why I admire Depp. Because for years he made movies just because they were cool projects, not to make millions. Ever seen "Dead Man"? He's backed into superstardom, not followed the path like morons like Tom Cruise, who couldn't act his way out of a paper sack.

for instance, Fear and Loathing ... that is the most oddball book imaginable.
