So, just stumbled onto this on YouTube. Probably there are some of you who've seen this. It's not exactly new. I'm stunned by this guy. Reminds me a lot of Michael Hedges. I'll be getting stuff from him on eMusic ASAP!

Enjoy!

I discovered Andy McKee a while ago - and immediately favorited all of his songs on youtube and organized them into one playlist. Nevertheless I still bought the mp3s to two of his albums from his label Candyrat Records. He's got three albums up there plus a DVD together with Antoine Dufour who is also great. And in early 2008 there'll be a new album he did together with don ross who is one of his big influences and another great guitar player. I'm certainly gonna buy this one too. MP3s at CandyRat are at high bitrates, tagged well and DRM-free, reasonably priced (usually 9.95 $), and often come with a PDF. So, you might aswell get the stuff directly from there.

My favourite songs are Rylynn, Keys to the Hovercar, Art of Motion, Drifting, Ebon Coast and Venus as a Girl (which is a cover of Björk's Venus as a Boy).

I saw this a while ago and, as you were, was blown away by this guy's talent and technique. It's funny that you mentioned Michael Hedges (who in IMO, was one of the greatest guitarists that most people have never heard of) because when I first saw "Drifitng", I thought to myself "this guy would be PERFECT for Windham Hill!" :)

He's alright. I just think Michael Hedges/Phil Keaggy/Don Ross do it better and I've listened to them for a while now.
