the sudden remix of the song "Broken Beaten Scarred" that showed up online like 3 or 4 days after DM was released. Word is it was done by a "well known and respected" metal producer who wished to remain anonymous but it had the drums replaced and even quantized I believe ... it was made from the stems that were floating around from guitar hero or whatever.

Andy never fessed up about it ... but we know

Whoever it was, was making a point. As a matter of fact, the title of the mystery mp3 was called "The Thing That SHOULD Have Been"

I hope that Dave Mustaine has been able to talk some sense into the boys in Metallica to use Andy their next album. But then again, maybe Dave wants to secretly not promote Andy to his enemies so that he can keep having the better sounding albums. lol.

edit: this is actually quite a nice mix. makes me appreciate the guitar tone quite a bit, even if the music isnt especially interesting to me personally. definitely the sort of tone i dig

Anyway this mix does sound great!!! Got a heavy black album vibe for sure ... honestly I dont think we ever found out who actually did it, my guess would be Mr. Rock ... telling them HEY FUCKERS YOU NEVER SHOULD HAVE LEFT!!

He did make the best sounding Metallica albums, minus St. Anger but the black album and load / reload sound phenomenal.
