Andy- what mic setups for gtr on arch enemy, skinlab, stampin ground etc?

hey all

if Andy or anyone here could give a list of the different recordings Andy has done and what the mic setup was for the rhythm guitars that would be great- it would just be useful to know what I am actually listening to rhythm guitar wise.

I know some albums are already detailed on the forum from the likes of nevermore, machinehead, earthcrisis, etc

but what about arch enemy, skinlab, stampin ground and the likes?

haha, I'm sure it was a 57... I can't remember to be honest, usually one or two 57's. Almost certainly 30 wt celestion cab, 5150/boogie and actually a Mark 4 Boogie on Skinlabs 2nd album. I think the AE wages album has a 5150 and Engl savage 120 on it, and the last one is 5150 and xxx.

What do you mean with 30wt celestion Cab?
Is it the Marshall AV Vintage30 4x70watts cab, Marshall TV "Greenback" 4x25watts or other?

I have an AV vintage 30 wire at 8 ohms and also a Boogie rectifier cab

How do you feel about recording with the mesa cab?

Although they have the same speakers the cab construction gives it a different sound. More lows
To me the Mesa cab seems to not cut through so well as the marshall cab.

I think the mesa sounds better actually, mines the taller one. It sounds totally different though, more fizz from the marshall.
