Animal Abusing Shit Bags

Animal abusers deserve death. The question of watching while knowing it will be horrible (though I haven't built up the courage to watch this one yet): It builds rage that can turn to productivity (if you actually give a fuck enough to really do something, not internet do something).

I just watched it. Though that kid deserves a severe, disfiguring, beat-down and jail time, it is not nearly as horrific as shit that happens everyday hundreds of times over on factory farms, puppy mills, dog fighting rings, etc.

One of my biggest morale dilemmas is how I'm to weak/in love with food to stay vegan, or even vegetarian, for any substantial period of time. Though I do think a middle ground of responsible meat-eating/animal-welfare can be reached, I feel that because I am very outspoken on this subject in everyday life, being more disciplined would make my arguments carry more weight and give less ammo to opponents.

you can eat organic hippie fair trade happy cow meat only

living in northern sweden it would actually be not only possible but actually fairly practical to only eat deer/moose/reindeer meat i.e. from reasonably happy wild/domesticated-but-freeroaming animals

i have considered going vegetarian but I LOVE BURGERS is the problem.

yeah i try to limit my meat eating...not hard enough really

oh man i just realized that i need to start a national socialist animal rights band and we're going to be called the vegetaryans

Went to see Survivor today. He's doing awesome, he looks nothing like the pic in the article anymore. He's alert, bright-eyed, very sweet, and loves attention. Once he's ready for adoption I'm sure someone's gonna give him a great home. :kickass:

I always get a kick out of animals who turn on their "owners" because everyone is so "oh, animals are teh bestest" but fail to realize, or deliberately ignore, the fact that they are ANIMALS.
Dogs are fucking foul. Spreading their shit all over public lands, attacking innocent people, using up resources. This asshole on my running route has a yappy, mangey mutt that chases me the length of their yard. The next time it actually steps onto the street - public property - I'm challenging it to a duel.
Pics pending.

hey dog give me back my resources

Well they are fucking idiots. One of the biggest obstacles of Animal welfare is anthropomorphism and the idiotic liberal hippies that perpetuate that shit.

Well in the simplest sense it detracts from the 'seriousness' of Animal rights/welfare, because to Average Joe it looks as if every person is out to protect animals because the are 'like, sooooooooooooo cute! How can pplz do thaaat to themmm!" etc.

On another level it just shows how little research people put into the very thing they claim to champion, an example: treating animals as if they have the same emotional responses as humans do. This again is detrimental.

The most important thing in any movement is credibility, starting on a conversational level. People have to respect you and know that are not just some emotional hippy that wants to save Bambi from the mean old hunters.

Vegan is dumb. At least in europe you can choose from a wide selection of animal products with varying degrees of freedom/free-range/semi-natural life. It helps a bit.

This as well. Theres room for a balance with animal welfare and eating your steak. And in the middle theres a farmer who can earn decent money again, rather than: this entire fucking cow is worth $20 on the wholesale meat market.

Same issue currently with milk in germany, the prices are so low the farmers receive so little they can't survive on it.

What natural predators do motherfucking chipmunks have? Whatever they are, I'm introducing them into my little ecosystem of a yard.
